General Life Skills Development
With years of industry experience in the disability and aged care management, we have come across and understood the level of complexity faced by people with a disability in everyday tasks and activities. Thus, we have come up with a range of training and development programs which include:
- Personal Hygiene: (showering, toileting and personal care)
- Nutrition Care: Such as shopping for groceries and planning for and preparing a healthy meal.
- Communication: General communication help and speech therapy for special cases.
- Cleanliness: House-cleaning, laundering of clothes and addressing maintenance issues or repairs.
- Travel Support: Planning in your journey, accessing public transport and packaging issues.
At Prohealth, we understand the difficulties that people with disabilities and the elderly face when it comes to personal and interpersonal skills. Furthermore, we consider the difficulties faced by the person’s parents or family members in dealing with issues such as interpersonal relationships, social skills, emotion regulation, and personal safety.
As a result, we can also work with parents (of a child with a disability) to manage longterm issues such as transitions between educational settings and transitions out of the family home into independent or groupbased living environments.
