Professional Health Care Services provides Supported Independent Living supports in multiple locations across Sydney, with homes designed to promote safety, comfort, independence, and community connection. Each property is selected to help participants access local amenities, transport, services, and social opportunities, supporting a more connected and fulfilling everyday life.

Whether you are exploring SIL for the first time or looking to move into a new support environment, our team is here to help you find a home that suits your needs, preferences, and goals. We work closely with participants, families, and support coordinators to make sure every housing solution is the right fit and backed by strong support planning and consistent care.

What Is Supported Independent Living?

Supported Independent Living is an NDIS-funded home and living support that provides help or supervision with daily tasks to support greater independence. SIL is best suited to participants with higher support needs who require regular support at home, including support that may be available throughout the day and overnight. Supports can include assistance with personal care, household routines, meals, medication, skill development, and community participation.

How Pro Health Services Can Help

At Pro Health Services, we deliver SIL supports in a way that is personal, practical, and responsive to each participant’s day-to-day life. We understand that the right home environment can make a significant difference to wellbeing, stability, and confidence, which is why we focus on matching participants with homes and support arrangements that genuinely meet their needs.

As our organisation continues to grow, we are well positioned to customise accommodation options based on individual requirements, lifestyle preferences, and support goals. Our homes are supported by experienced staff and structured oversight to help ensure consistency, safety, and quality of care.

SIL Support Options

SIL supports may be provided in a participant’s own home through drop-in support or in one of our supported accommodation homes, depending on the person’s needs and funded supports.

Support options may include:

  • 24/7 supported accommodation
  • Overnight assistance or supervision where required
  • High-intensity supported accommodation
  • Support in shared living or individualised home environments
  • Support linked with short term respite and medium term accommodation where appropriate

The NDIS currently refers to Short Term Accommodation as short term respite, and also funds Medium Term Accommodation as a separate home and living support. Medium Term Accommodation is generally for participants who are waiting to move into their longer-term home or for disability supports to be completed, and is usually funded for up to about 90 days.

Supports Provided May Include

Our Supported Independent Living supports may include:

  • Help with personal care such as showering, dressing, and grooming
  • Meal planning, cooking, and nutrition support
  • Household tasks including cleaning, laundry, and shopping
  • Medication and health-related support
  • Skill development for daily living, routines, and budgeting
  • Support to participate in community and social activities
  • Overnight support or 24/7 supervision where required
  • Assistance to build independence in a safe and supportive home environment

Why Choose Pro Health Services?

We believe SIL should offer more than accommodation. It should provide stability, dignity, choice, and the right level of support for each person to live as independently as possible. At Pro Health Services, we focus on creating supportive home environments where participants can feel safe, respected, and empowered to build skills and enjoy everyday life on their own terms.
